Structured program or pay per session?

Updated: Jun 21

A frequent question we have been receiving lately is 'What's the difference between pay per session, block booking, and a structured program.'

Clients are sometimes wanting full support and contact and so this is the perfect post to explain the differences between different options.

I thought it was worth explaining so that you can make the correct decision for your training.

1. Pay Per Session:

- Pay per session is a flexible option where clients pay for each individual training session they attend.

- It offers the freedom to schedule sessions as needed without a long-term commitment.

- While convenient for those with unpredictable schedules, it may lack the consistency and accountability of a more structured approach.

You are paying for instruction and advice during the paid session only, there is no support or communication, check in phone calls, anaylysing videos etc beyond the sessions. It's also worth noting that pay per session isn't available at all training days where program riders take priority. If your training and commitment is sporadic your results will mirror that.

2. Block Booking:

- Block booking involves purchasing a set number of sessions upfront at a discounted rate.

- Clients typically pay for a package of sessions in advance, which can provide cost savings compared to paying per session.

- It offers a balance between flexibility and commitment, allowing clients to secure their training slots in advance while still maintaining some flexibility in scheduling.

Another benefit of block booking is having priority of booking and guaranteed place at the chosen sessions.

3. Structured Program:

- A structured program involves enrolling in a comprehensive training program that follows a planned curriculum and schedule.

- Clients commit to a longer-term engagement, often ranging from several weeks to several months, and follow a predefined training plan.

- Structured programs provide a systematic approach to training, focusing on specific goals and objectives tailored to the client's needs. We go right the way through a riders program and help to make changes where needed.

- They often include regular sessions, progress tracking, goal setting, and ongoing support and contact from a coach or instructor, we use selected championship races to attend and observe a clients progress and what may need to be adapted in the plan.

- Structured programs offer the highest level of accountability, consistency, and customisation, leading to more predictable results and long-term success.

We encourage clients to choose the option that aligns best with their needs, expectations, budget, preferences, and long-term objectives. We deal in transformations and getting results but we are restricted by the level of commitment a client is prepared to give.

All we want to do is manage expectations and define the different levels of service. We can only dedicate our time to a select number of people which is why it’s important you choose your level of service appropriately.

If you would like to discuss your training progress and options please contact us and we can get you on the right pathway.
