Why Last-Minute Requests And One Off Training Days Don’t Work.
At MotoMind, our mission is to help riders reach their full potential through a well-structured and comprehensive training program. As coaches, we’ve seen firsthand the incredible progress that comes from dedication, planning, and consistency. However, achieving this success requires a commitment from both the rider and their parents.
Planning and Commitment
Our training programs are designed with a clear focus on technique, mental strength, and physical fitness. To ensure each rider gets the most out of their training, we need to prepare thoroughly for every session. Recently, we've encountered situations where parents contact us at the last minute, often the night before a training session, asking if there's a spot available.
While we understand that life can be unpredictable, these last-minute requests can disrupt the structured approach we use to deliver effective training. Here’s why consistency and advanced planning are crucial for your rider’s development:
The Disruption of Last-Minute Requests
Imagine trying to build a house without a blueprint. Every day, you add bricks haphazardly, not knowing what the final structure will look like. This is similar to how last-minute training requests can affect a rider’s development. When we don’t have adequate time to prepare or know when the next session will be, the quality and focus of the training session can be compromised.
Consistency is Key
Consistency is the cornerstone of any successful training program. When training is inconsistent and sporadic, it’s impossible to create a comprehensive plan tailored to your rider's needs. We need to know when we’ll see the rider next to track their progress, address areas for improvement, and ensure that each session builds on the last.
The Benefits of a Structured Approach
By planning ahead and committing to a regular training schedule, we can:
1. Track Progress Effectively: Regular sessions allow us to monitor improvements and adjust the training plan accordingly.
2. Provide Personalised Attention: With a structured schedule, we can prepare specific drills and exercises that target your rider's unique needs.
3. Build a Strong Foundation: Consistent training helps reinforce techniques and mental strategies, leading to better performance on race day
4.Plan for track and facility usage, track alterations and private hires.
Respecting the Scheduling Process
To maintain the high standards we set for our training programs, we kindly ask all parents to respect the scheduling process. Avoiding last-minute requests helps us ensure that every session is well-organized and focused, providing the best possible training experience for your rider.
