Oliver williams 14 from the UK a late comer to the world of Youth Motocross and Supercross

Oliver’s passion for pro MX was cemented when he met his idol Max Anstie at Matterley Basin at the age of 9.

He started training with Mervyn Anstie last year with a few ad hoc sessions, then when the opportunity to join The Moto Mind Academy in April 2024 came along he jumped at it and committed to full time training, transitioning to homeschooling which is also complemented by The Moto Minds online school, where he can study and understand all aspects of Motocross, Race Psychology, Fitness, Nutrition, Media and more!

To date Oliver has only raced 6 times and taken advice from his coaches who strategically picked the tracks to race at.  Oliver’s favourite was the British Championship at Hawkestone as he loves technical tracks and putting his newly learnt skills to use. Focussing on building his skill set takes priority over competition at this stage, however key races have proved a brilliant experience and serving as a test to Oliver's progression.

Oliver is seriously committed to his learning and training journey with the Academy his progression has moved very quickly and he is working hard and listening to his coaches and sticking to the plan they have created for him.  

He is currently at the world final SMX in Las Vegas watching Max and starting his pro journey by setting the goal to race there in the futures class in 2 years time.
